Antioxidant prevent the polymers from oxidative and ozonic degradation. They are mainly used in:

- Adhesives

- Sulphur Ester
- Metal Deactivator
Fuels and lubricants also consume antioxidants in a large quantity and used to prevent the fuel polymerization which would form engine-fouling residues.
